I recently purchased a new home. The gardens were not something I paid much attention to when making the decision to purchase this home. I contacted Karin and asked for her help and wisdom on how to improve the existing gardens. She was excited and ready to help me with this. She looked at the gardens. Then she listened to what I would like and then walked me through the process. She took into account the style and colour of my home and from there incorporated a plan. Before we could start with the project Karin realized that there was an over abundance of clay in the existing gardens and plants don’t grow well in that type of soil. She advised me on what the next steps would be which was to remove 8 – 10 inches of the clay. A big job, but with the help of a landscaper in my community and lots of muscle, 3 days later it was gone. The rest of the prep work and planting could now begin. A job like this cannot be done without help. Karin was very good at including two of our grandchildren in the project as well. They very quickly became attached to her and stayed close to her side, asking what they could do next. A beautiful picture of generations working together. I have received many compliments from my neighbours who diligently watched the transition from existing gardens to new and refreshed gardens. I am thankful for my friend Karin, and her expertise and help in making this all happen.
